Director and producer
I have always been passionate about films, artistic ones in the beginning and nature documentaries afterwards and I tried several times to combine photography and film in my slideshows. Things started to make more sense in 2012, when I worked on our first short movie series that combined nature, photography and documentary film.
In 2014 I founded NTD Film (Nature & Travel Documentaries) one of the very few nature documentary production companies in Romania. We managed to produce some unique documentaries in our country, which were also successful at several international festivals.
One of the greatest achievements in this field was when I was asked to be part of the research team for BBC Seven worlds, One planet series. Their documentaries are among the ones I appreciate the most, so I dedicated myself fully to this project. One of my suggestions came to life and was embodied in the documentary as the sequence with pelicans and cormorants in the Danube Delta. It was not only the collaboration itself that made me happy, but the fact that Romania was presented for the first time in a landmark BBC series.
Until now our team worked for production for BBC Natural History Unit, Nat Geo Wild, Crossing the Line, Off the Fence and HBO Europe. We also collaborate with environmental NGOs and Romanian national and nature parks for important conservation projects.
